Purple Plan Week of January 22, 2012

Here are some of the things I made last week with local ingredients...  
Slow cooker Thai Style Chicken and Pumpkin Soup
Local Food: CSA Carrots from freezer
The day I made this I picked up frozen squash from our CSA.  The squash could easily replace thepumpkin in this recipe.  It will be on the menu again soon.
My friend occasionally mentions making this, now I finally have, and I too can rave about how easy and yummy this soup is to make.
Masala Meatballs
Local Food: CSA Broccoli Rabe from freezer
I replaced the spinach in this recipe with broccoli rabe.  I also used Garam Masala to replace the curry powder.  Served with Naan, this made a quick, simple and delicious meal.
Squash, Manchego, and Balsamic Onion Grilled Cheese
